The questions worth asking.
When do I get paid?
On Stripe's normal schedule, straight into your bank. Stripe is in your name, so there is no Crato payout queue to sit in and nothing for you to chase.
What does it cost?
Free to start, with no card. We take 5% of a sale on the free plan, or 0% on Pro at $19 a month. Stripe's own processing fee applies on top, the same as anywhere you sell.
Who handles refunds and disputes?
You do, from your own Stripe dashboard, because the sale is between you and your buyer. We give you the buttons and the records. If something on our side breaks, that one is ours to fix.
Will my link work on TikTok and Instagram?
Your store is an ordinary web link, with no redirect chains or tracking scripts that get pages flagged. If a platform ever blocks a link, tell us and it becomes the thing we fix that day.
Do my buyers need an account?
Not to buy. They enter an email at checkout and get what they bought straight away, and that purchase creates their account. Later they sign in with a code, no password, and find everything they have ever bought on Crato in one place.
Can I leave and take my work with me?
Yes. Your buyers, your files and your Stripe account are yours. Export the list, download the files, and keep selling somewhere else if you ever want to.
Is there anything I cannot sell?
Whatever Stripe allows, since it processes the payment. A few categories are restricted by them rather than by us, so it is worth checking their list if your work sits near the line.
What if I stop paying for Pro?
Your store stays open and your buyers keep everything they bought. You move back to the free plan, where we take 5% of a sale again. Nothing is deleted and nothing is held hostage.
